Service Details
Camtec Engineering use comprehensive Edgecam CAD / CAM packages for CNC programming. Most 3D model and 2D file formats can be transferred and input from the customers own design, or we can design to the customer’s requirements and drawings in-house prior to the system generating machine code.
Due to the efficiency in our programming and setting methods and the skill of the workforce, one-offs and small batches can be produced economically, with the programming and set-up costs being offset against a smaller quantity.
CAM files are logged and archived indefinitely should the customer wish to reorder in the future – needless to say client confidentiality is respected throughout this process.
Our CAM software packages generate optimum roughing and finishing CNC toolpaths from the complex shapes generated by all major 3D modelling systems. New prototype parts are rigorously tested and checked in our inspection department against customer requirements to ensure optimum performance.
